1. Introduction

Ready2Check ("the App") is a mobile application for managing vehicle inspection checklists. This policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.

The data controller is Emiliano Martín ("the Developer"), operating under the Ready2Check brand.

2. Information we collect

The App collects and stores the following types of information:

• Vehicle data: license plate number, make, model, mileage, general condition.
• Document data: vehicle documentation status (technical inspection, insurance, registration, etc.).
• Photographs: vehicle images captured with the device camera or selected from the gallery.
• Operator data: name of the person completing the checklist ("Prepared by").
• Metadata: checklist date and time, unique checklist identifier.

We do not collect: additional personally identifiable information (email, phone, GPS location), financial data, or device contact information.

3. How we use information

The information is used exclusively to:

• Generate and store vehicle inspection checklists.
• Produce PDF reports with inspection results.
• Recover draft checklists that were not completed.
• Validate vehicle license plates against the vehicle database.

4. Data storage

Currently, all data is stored locally on the user's device using secure operating system storage (AsyncStorage). No data is transmitted to external servers.

In future versions, we may implement cloud synchronization for backup and multi-device access. In that case:

• A secure database service with encryption in transit and at rest will be used.
• Data will be stored on servers located in South America.
• User authentication will be required to access synchronized data.
• This policy will be updated before implementing such changes.

5. Device permissions

The App requests the following permissions:

• Camera: to capture vehicle photographs during inspection. Only activated when the user initiates photo capture.
• Image access: to select existing photographs from the device gallery as an alternative to the camera.

These permissions are optional. The App works without photos, although including them is recommended for a complete record.

6. Data sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share data with third parties for commercial or advertising purposes.

Data is only shared when the user explicitly:

• Generates a PDF and sends it via email (using the device's email app).
• Shares the PDF file through other installed applications.

In these cases, the user has full control over the recipient and delivery method.

7. Security

We implement the following security measures:

• Local storage using secure operating system mechanisms.
• Photographs are compressed to optimize storage without compromising utility.
• Unique checklist identifiers for traceability.

8. Data retention

Data remains on the device until the user:

• Deletes an individual checklist from within the app.
• Uses the storage cleanup function.
• Uninstalls the app (which removes all local data).

9. User rights

You have the right to:

• Access all your data stored within the app.
• Delete any checklist or draft at any time.
• Export your data in PDF format.
• Revoke camera and gallery permissions from device settings.

10. Children

The App is not directed at individuals under 18 years of age. We do not intentionally collect information from minors.

11. Changes to this policy

We reserve the right to update this policy. Any significant changes will be notified through an app update. The last update date is indicated at the top of this document.
